The Heist by Janet Evanovich
Well….I have loved Janet in the past. I thought that I would try this smaller series to see what I thought. I was disappointed. I am not sure if it because I have changed the majority of what I read to non fiction.
This was about a gal that is a police officer who goes undercover to catch the bad guy. She chases hum for years, and finally gets her man.
While awaiting trial, he is in the courthouse and uses the restroom. This allowed him to escape, as it was a previous set up to get him out.
Fast forward…you find out how that happened and why that happened. Will she be able to re-catch him? Does he face justice? Will the victims get back everything that they have lost?
I am probably not going to go to the next book in the series.
