POST FALLS, ID. — Two people were arrested after law enforcement found a pound of methamphetamine, 1,000 fentanyl pills and more during a traffic stop in Post Falls on Tuesday.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy initiated a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation near I-90 and Pleasantview Road in Post Falls early Tuesday morning.
During the traffic stop, the sheriff’s office says the smell of marijuana was coming from the car.
KCSO says 32-year-old Amber N. Letchworth had an active warrant for driving without privileges in Nez Perce County.
When the deputy searched the car, they found around a pound of methamphetamine, 1,000 fentanyl pills, three guns (including a sawed off shotgun and stolen handgun, marijuana and paraphernalia, which was seized from the vehicle.
Amber Letchworth, who drove the vehicle, was arrested on her outstanding warrants, along with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property (firearm), trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
The passenger, 38-year-old Joshua Letchworth, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
