The main attraction at this park is — you guessed it — a steam-powered locomotive. Known as Engine 92, this was once a logging locomotive used by Potlatch Forest Industries.

This locomotive was built in 1924 and was purchased by the logging company in 1942. After it retired, the city of Lewiston purchased the train for $1 and later built Locomotive Park.

Today, this steam locomotive sits in the park, and you can climb into it and explore its unique features. This is an excellent place for children to use their imagination and for parents to simply spend some time outdoors.
